Undoubtedly, one of the hardest parts of my journey through motherhood has been finding clean baby skincare products that work. As a mom, I only want my daughter exposed to safe ingredients, but I also need products that are going to work.

After doing a bit of research about a lot of the products that we were using for my daughter, I decided it was time to start switching things up.

That’s when I reached out to Earth Mama Organics and asked if they’d like to partner up on a blog post about clean baby skincare products, and was so happy when they agreed.

(If you’re a follower of our Instagram account, you may remember that we partnered with Earth Mama Organics to share their Healing Hearts Comfort Kit for those going through a miscarriage or other type of loss.)

To say that I’m a fan of this company would be an understatement. I trust their products for both safety and quality, and I can’t wait to share with you a few products that we’ve added to our routine below!

Baby Mineral Sunscreen

This summer, we’ve been spending a lot of time outside, and a lot of that time has been in the pool. All summer, my husband and I have been on the hunt for a sunscreen that would protect our daughter from the damaging rays of the sun, but without all those chemicals that have been making the news.

When Earth Mama Organics sent me their Baby Face Mineral Sunscreen and their Baby Mineral Sunscreen Lotion, I was eager to try them out.

Here are a few things that stood out to me about these products:

  • SPFs of 40
  • The zinc in the formula doesn’t absorb into the skin but sits on top
  • Any ingredient that was available as organic, was used
  • Oxybenzone or octinoxate are NOT included in the formula
  • There is also no artificial fragrance, or parabens included
  • Water-resistant (40 minutes)

One thing to note about the Baby Mineral Sunscreen Lotion is that you may notice oil when you squeeze out the product. However, all you have to do is combine the ingredients by rubbing your hands together, and you’ll be left with a super moisturizing mixture that you can apply like other sunscreens. The formula isn’t sticky, it glides on the skin and the initial white appearance quickly disappears once you’ve rubbed it into the skin.

The Baby Face Mineral Sunscreen is offered in more of a solid stick form which makes it easy to apply! When you first use the product, it also appears a little white on the skin until you rub it in, but it isn’t sticky, which I love.

I was super excited after reviewing these products because they work and they have clean ingredients that I don’t feel bad using on my toddler. (In fact, the whole family is going to be using this from now on!)

Diaper & Face Balms

One of the worst feelings ever is when your baby cries because they have a diaper rash or when you go to wipe their nose but it’s raw. The mom guilt comes in strong!

Luckily, Earth Mama Organics has a line of balms that can help soothe your little one during these times.

I don’t know about you, but when I see all the ingredients that are packed into other diaper creams and salves, I get a little worried. When it comes to the ingredients in my daughter’s products, I feel like less is more.

Both the Baby Organic Diaper Balm and the Organic Baby Face Nose & Cheek Balm feature only organic ingredients and are FREE of parabens, petroleum, and artificial fragrance and preservatives. Ethically-sourced, organic beeswax is the only ingredient in either of these products that isn’t vegan.

The formulations of both of these products make me feel good about using them on my toddler’s sensitive skin. When I look at the ingredients list, I actually feel like I understand what’s in the products.

Another thing that I absolutely love about the formula of each of these is that they are buttery smooth and immediately melt into the skin.

Earth Mama Organics was kind enough to send me the travel size of the Organic Baby Face Nose & Cheek Balm and I’m going to be packing this one in my purse, along with my other toddler essentials. It will be great to have it the next time my toddler gets chapped cheeks or a chapped nose.

Have you swapped out any products for your baby or toddler? I’d love to hear what switches you’ve made in the comments below!
