If your kids are anything like mine, then you’ve probably hit a point in their young lives when they’re sleeping through the night (YAY!) but their diapers aren’t quite capable of going the distance to keep them dry all night long.

When I had my first child, I was super surprised when she began waking up wet after a long night’s sleep. I didn’t really know what to do. I didn’t want to wake her up in the middle of the night to change her, but I didn’t want her waking up wet, either.

With that in mind, here are a few tips that I’ve employed over the years to keep my babies dry through the entire night.

1. Try A Different Diaper Brand

Sometimes, no matter what you do, a certain type of diaper just won’t work for your baby. Not all diapers are created equal, so if you find yourself dealing with a lot of nighttime leaks, then definitely try another brand or line of diapers and see if that helps!

2. Make Sure You Are Using The Correct Diaper Size

Using diapers that are too small or too large for your baby can definitely be a cause of nighttime diaper leaks, so definitely be sure that you are using the correct size – especially if these diapers were previously working for you.

3. Use Sposie’s Booster Pads

Sposie’s Booster Pads are a product that allows you to easily tape in another extra absorbent layer into any diaper you like!

The rectangular pad features an adhesive strip on the back that can be placed into the lining of a diaper for babies and toddlers. For youth who may have issues with incontinence, Sposie even makes a size that will help for any issues day or night and these can be adhered into underwear.

All Booster Pads are 100% hypoallergenic, work for either boys or girls and are 100% free of latex, fragrance and chlorine.

Sposie’s Booster Pads come in the following sizes:

  • Newborn to size 3
  • Size 4 to size 6
  • 2T – 5T
  • Super Sposie for older youth

It is worth noting that while there are “overnight” diapers on the market, I’ve found that Sposie’s Booster Pads are far more convenient since I can use them with diapers that I already buy and like for the daytime. Plus, they’ve always done a better job for me than any overnight diaper that we’ve tried!
